Research on Theory and Practice of Social Governance

Abstract：After 40 years of reform and opening up, China has made remarkable achievements and also
faced a series of new social problems. Interest subjects and demands become more diverse,
leading to increasingly complex contradictions. On the stage of world civilization, there has
always been a struggle and interweaving between individualism and collectivism. Different
cultural values will have a profound impact on the behavior of individuals, organizations and even
the whole country, which is not only related to the well-being of each individual, but also related
to the development prospects of human civilization. In the historical process of realizing the great
rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, it is necessary to improve the level of social governance and
promote the modernization of social governance.
This paper expounds the connotation, origin and international experience of social governance,
analyzes the construction and existing problems of social governance in contemporary China, the
basic requirements and objectives of social governance modernization, the basic requirements of
social governance modernization, the improvement and development of inclusive social system,
and puts forward some suggestions on innovating social system construction and promoting the
principles of social governance model.
