Research on the conflict between traditional culture and contemporary college Students’ Ideological and Political Education

Abstract：T he popularization of the Internet and the rapid development of new media have brought
great impact on the traditional values of college students, and the ideological and political
education of college students is facing new opportunities and challenges. Chinas traditional
culture is the precipitation of the 5000 year history of the Chinese nation, the double
crystallization of the material and spiritual civilization of the Chinese nation, and the
spiritual strength to safeguard the nation-state. It is the need of Ideological and political
education for college students to return to traditional culture. In order to better serve the
contemporary ideological and political education, we should tap the essence of traditional
culture and make equality and openness. Based on this, in view of the hot conflict between
traditional culture and contemporary college students Ideological and political education,
this paper puts forward some suggestions for improvement.
