Abstract:There are currently over a thousand international NGOs (non-governmental organization) operating in Vietnam. These organizations have made important contributions both to the formation of its civil society as well as reaching its poverty reduction goals. Alongside the development of international NGOs in Vietnam, the Vietnamese government has also gradually formed a comprehensive set of policy systems and models for managing international NGOs. The Vietnamese government integrates international NGOs with Vietnams national development plan and actively cooperates with NGOs to utilize the financial strength and expertise of NGOs to promote national development.
