The Curriculum Construction of Chinese language for International Medical Students in China Based on Development of Language Ability

Abstract:Curriculum is the foundation of teaching construction in medical colleges and universities of China. Owing
to the lack of standards in curriculum setting and reasonable curriculum articulation of Chinese language
courses, Chinese language ability of international medical students couldn’t facilitate their learning and
living in China or their contact with patients during their medical practice. This paper analyzes the existing
problems of Chinese language courses for international medical students in China, and discusses curriculum
construction of Chinese language for the students based on development of language ability.
