Abstract:There are five language teaching methods that have great influence on the compilation of Chinese teaching
materials, namely translation method, hearing method, cognition method, communication, and task method.
Under the influence of these five teaching methods, each of the compilation of the domestic and foreign
teaching materials shows different appearance and characteristics, of course, each has its own shortcomings.
The mainstream Chinese teaching materials in China are not often confined to a certain language teaching
method, and have formed a structure-function-culture as the framework of the writing model, which has its own
characteristics, but also shortcomings. From the development point of view, the integration of various teaching
methods to complement each other is the trend of textbook design.
