Abstract:This paper reviews the research on trade war between Japan and the United States. From the motives of the trade war between Japan and the United States, the impact of the outbreak of trade war on the Japanese financial market, the impact of the Japanese real economy in the trade war, And the Japanese and American trade wars have summarized the clustering and diffusion of the Japanese economy. The outbreak of the Japan-US trade war has brought the biggest impact on the exchange rate between Japan and the United States, which directly led to the obstruction of Japanese exports and caused a series of volatility shocks from the real economy to the financial market. The relevant economic policies made by the Japanese government failed to save Japan’s economic crisis and eventually led to Japan’s “lost 20 years”. In the context of the current Sino-US trade war, we try to compare the similarities and differences between China and Japan in the past, and summarize the relevant experience from the impact of Japan-US trade war on Japan to guide the formulation of Chinas policies.
