Abstract：Metaphor is a pervasive thinking mode and a cognitive means of human beings. Poetry has long been seen as the
paradigm site for metaphor. Poetical metaphor has twofold functions: rhetoric function, defamiliarization function,
constructive function, cognitive function and aesthetic function.
