Current Situation and Problems of the Quality of the New Energy Power Battery and Material Industry Chain in Guizhou Province

Abstract：In the context of the central government’s call to accelerate the clean and low-carbon transformation of energy and develop new quality productive forces to adapt to the complex climate risks and changing international situation, Guizhou Province actively promotes the high-quality development and construction of the “Electric Guizhou” initiative. However, there is currently a lack of comprehensive analysis and research on the development of the new energy power battery and its material industry chain in Guizhou. Therefore, based on data from Guizhou Yearbook and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), this paper studies the current situation and potential problems of the quality of the new energy power battery and its material industry chain in Guizhou. This paper innovatively combines Guizhou’s power battery and material industry chain with its local enterprises and government industrial parks to form a quality atlas, which clearly shows the current situation of the industry chain development and its limitations and potentials in terms of technology, market, energy consumption and environmental protection. In this regard, this paper proposes policy recommendations for optimizing the supply of industry chain elements, coordinating the division of labor within the chain, and improving its internal and external recycling mechanism.
