Abstract：Lithocarpus litseifolius (Hance) Chun is a medicinal plant rich in flavonoids, phenols, terpenoids, amino acids, and other bioactive substances. It has various pharmacological activities such as hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, etc., which are of great research value. It is mainly used in the development of tea and natural sweeteners and is also a raw material for medicinal and healthcare products such as hypoglycemic granules. In addition, the extraction methods and extraction conditions of the active components of L.litseifolius have been a research hotspot. In summary, this paper summarises the progress of domestic and international research on the extraction process, development and utilisation, and pharmacological activity of L.litseifolius. It looks forward to the future research directions that need to be focused on, to provide a theoretical basis for the subsequent research and comprehensive development and utilisation of L.litseifolius.
