Abstract:With the rapid development of information technology (IC), the education and training of information technology professionals in universities are facing new challenges and opportunities. As a core driving force for IT progress and an important competence of IT professionals, innovative thinking is invaluable to the development of society. However, the traditional teaching mode is limited in cultivating the innovative ability of learners, especially college students. In this paper, we discuss the importance of cultivating innovative thinking for IT students in universities, point out the shortcomings of current teaching methods, and put forward corresponding teaching reform strategies on this basis. By optimizing the curriculum, strengthening practical teaching, developing teaching methods, and improving the evaluation system, we can cultivate innovative thinking of students, so as to export high-quality IT professionals to the society.
